Slack Tide has to know when you sleep and when you work in order to function at all. That is personal data, so this page states exactly what is collected, why, and how long it is kept.
Data we collect
Only what the app needs in order to work:
- Account details: email address, display name, username and time zone.
- Constraint profile: sleep hours, work hours, daily downtime and any exception days.
- Events and routines: name, category, duration, priority and the time the engine assigns.
- Social connections: friend requests, friend list and shared event invitations.
- Session data: authentication tokens (refresh tokens are stored only as hashes).
Data we do not collect
The app collects no location data, contacts, photos, device identifiers or advertising identifiers. No third-party analytics or advertising SDK is used. No tracking tool is embedded, including crash reporting.
Your password is never stored in plain text; it is hashed with argon2id and that hash cannot be reversed.
How your data is used
Your constraint profile is used solely to work out times that suit you. When you create a shared event, participants' constraints are intersected only to find a mutually workable time — the other person cannot see your sleep or work hours, only the proposed time and its reasoning.
Your data is never sold, rented or shared with third parties for marketing.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored in a MongoDB database hosted on a server in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). All traffic between the app and the server is encrypted with TLS.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account deletes your constraint profile, events, routines and friendship records. In shared events, the other participant's record may remain with its link to you removed.
For deletion requests, write to bsozeroglu95@gmail.com.
Your rights
Under GDPR and Turkish data protection law (KVKK) you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data. Contact us to exercise these rights; requests are answered within 30 days at the latest.
Beta notice
Slack Tide is currently in closed beta. The database may be reset during the beta, which would delete accounts and scheduling data. Do not rely on Slack Tide as the only place your critical plans live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above is updated. If the categories of collected data are ever expanded, you will also be notified inside the app.
